Ingeborg Hischer  —  visiting-card

Ingeborg Hischer was born in Halle/Saale. She received her vocal training from Waltraud Prange in Braunschweig and Tonio Larisch in Hannover. At the international level, she has worked with Ernst Haefliger in Zurich, Erika Köth in Vaduz, Josef Metternich in Karlsruhe, Ionel Pantea in Luxemburg, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf in Wolfenbüttel and with Gérard Souzay in Luxemburg and Paris.
Ingeborg Hischer's mezzo soprano extends over a colorful vocal range, from velvety deep tones to the strength of her high range, enabling her to perform a broad repertoire of works: the Baroque alto literature as well as the dramatic mezzo soprano roles of the Classic and Romantic periods.
Ingeborg Hischer performs in Germany and throughout Europe in liturgical concerts, concert performances of opera, lieder recitals and oratorios. She is a popular singing teacher. Ingeborg Hischer has made recordings for several classic labels and for radio. Her recording "Ingeborg Hischer Sings Lieder by Schubert, Brahms, Wagner, Strauss" got SICUSKlassik off to a good start in 1997, followed by the two redordings "Ave Maria im Spiegel der Zeiten" (Ave Maria through the Ages, Vol. 1 & 2).
